Genuine fan shroud and Volute ring


Cleaning up my eBay purchase, some localised welding to rejoin separated spot welds and trial fit of ring to be welded in place to improve airflow. 



Maybe not a flat4 but a flat2....

Quality product far better than universal manifolds. 

Hard line from tank to regulator



Fuel regulator mounting

Made up some posts to mount the regulator on, the idea being to allow easy engine removal with AN fittings. Dynamat on firewall between ribs with OE spec card in front, trying to maximise space. 



Hard fuel line install

Had to make up a bulkhead fitting to allow union to fit secure. Rolled up some thin sheet to make a tube and welded the same to a washer for welding to firewall.

Cam break in lube added by brush to both lifter and lobe

Made some progress in sealing up the case and torquing it down.

Crank Gear install

Fortunately had time to also install remaining bearings and check end play with current three shims selection that I had available coming out at .0035. Now have a fully built up crank as I also managed to get the crank gears installed and woodruff keys in as well. 


ARP rod bolts

Torqued the bolts down in three stages as specified with ARP grease. 

Made some progress on assembling the crankshaft

CB Performance 5.4" race spec H beam installed with Clevitt bearings and assembly lube.
