Stateside Tuning Pushrods
Purchased some new high quality pushrods from Stateside Tuning:

Finally found some time to cut the pushrods to length, and install the ends.

Finally found some time to cut the pushrods to length, and install the ends.
Pushrods accurately cut to length on the lathe and then using a curved mill chamfered the internal edge to allow fitment of the ends and allow proper seating.
Instead of "hammering" the ends in using the common method of an old lifer on each end, utilised the lathe again to "push" them home. (probably the most boring video on youtube, but someone might find it of interest!)
Finished!

Getting the valve geometry correct...
Rocker blocks too high for correct geometry, as such embarked on some milling following buying a basic slide for the lathe.
Then set the slide and trued it to bed.
Next job: cutting pushrods to length!
First step machining some bolts to mount the slide:
Then set the slide and trued it to bed.
Blocks then mounted in pairs within the vice to ensure matched sets, and took gradual horizontal cuts with the mill bit.
Third block simply to match height to other pair.
Worked well with some hand finishing needed:
Blocks in situ during measurement, adjustable pushrod in place.
Next job: cutting pushrods to length!
